These are the policies you agree to when you create an account with the Institute of Ministry, the educational body of the Apostolic Old Catholic Mission NPC. They are short, and the full documents are linked throughout.

Terms and Conditions

The Terms and Conditions govern your use of this site: use it lawfully and honestly, give accurate information about yourself, keep your sign-in details to yourself, and treat others with the courtesy proper to a Christian community. The Institute’s awards are ecclesial formation awards; they are not state-accredited qualifications.

Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains what we hold and why. In short, we use your information to provide your formation, assess your work, issue and verify your certificates, and keep people safe. We do not sell it, and you may ask at any time to see it, correct it, or have it erased. Write to institute@apostolicoldcatholic.org.

Formation Policies

The Formation Policies of the Institute govern admission, assessment, progression, referral and appeal, together with the conduct expected of those in formation.

Cookies

This platform cannot function without cookies, so their use is a condition of holding an account. They keep you signed in, remember your preferences, guard against fraudulent submissions, and hold your place in a timed quiz. We do not use them for advertising. If you block them, you will not be able to sign in. You remain entirely welcome to read our published course outlines as a visitor.

Monitoring and academic integrity

A certificate from this Institute is a statement about a person. If it can be obtained dishonestly it is worth nothing, and it wrongs those who earned theirs properly.

What we record now. The platform keeps records of your sign-ins, the network address you sign in from, the pages and activities you open, the files you submit, and the timing of your quiz attempts.

What we may introduce. So that you need consent only once, we tell you now what may follow without asking again. We may analyse patterns of access, timing and answering to detect collusion or impersonation; require identity verification before an assessment or before a certificate is issued; require a secure or locked-down browser; require an assessment to be supervised or proctored, whether in person or remotely; and use software to detect plagiarism or undisclosed use of artificial intelligence.

We shall use no more of this than the integrity of the award requires, and we shall always tell you within the course before an assessment is actually supervised, identity-checked or locked down. Concerns are dealt with under the Formation Policies, and you have a right of appeal. All monitoring is carried out in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
