Unit 3 — If you forget your password

Approximate time for this unit: 3 minutes

Forgetting a password is ordinary and quick to put right.

1. On the login page, choose Forgotten your username or password?
2. Enter either your username or the email address connected to your account.
3. Choose Search.
4. Open the reset email and follow its link promptly.
5. Choose a new password and confirm it.

If the message does not arrive

Check your junk or spam folder. If nothing is there, you may have registered with a different email address. Write to the Institute for help rather than creating a second account, because a duplicate account separates you from your existing progress.

Keeping your account safe

Use a password that you do not use elsewhere. A password manager is helpful, especially if you study on more than one device.
