Approximate time for this unit: 5 minutes

Some Institute courses ask you to submit written work. Others have no assignments at all. The practice assignment following these units lets you try the process without academic marks.

Before you upload

Read the instructions carefully. Prepare the requested file type, use a clear filename, and keep your own copy. If several files are requested separately, upload them separately.

Submitting your work

  1. Open the assignment and choose Add submission.
  2. Add the requested file in the submission area.
  3. Check that the correct filename appears.
  4. Choose Save changes.
  5. If the assignment uses a final confirmation step, choose Submit assignment only when you are ready for it to be assessed.

The animation below shows this sequence using the harmless practice assignment.

Checking the result

Return to the assignment page and read the submission status. It should confirm that the file has been received. If you are still allowed to edit the submission, use that option only to correct a genuine mistake before the deadline.
