Module 2 cohort discussion — attendance

The monthly cohort discussion takes place after Unit 2.4. The Course Director will publish two time-slot choices and joining arrangements in this activity before the call. Select and attend one offered session. Your cohort has a minimum of two learners. If an access, care, work, or time-zone difficulty prevents attendance, contact the Course Director before the call; any alternative must be authorised.

Come prepared with your completed Day 1–5 notes, the existing required reading, and one question drawn from the module. The purpose is serious formation in community: honest speech, generous listening, confidentiality, and accountable reflection. Cameras should be on where possible. Do not record the call, take screenshots, or share another candidate’s story outside the cohort without express permission. The group discussion question is: How does the Old Testament form a deacon’s ministry of service?

After the call, record a private note: one insight received from another learner, one question you need to carry forward, and one practice you will apply in the next module. Keep this working note in your personal portfolio; no additional upload is required.

Completion and attendance

You do not upload a file to this activity. The Course Director records attendance after you attend one offered session, or after you complete an expressly authorised alternative. A recorded score of 1 out of 1 confirms completion; absence or an uncompleted alternative does not. The next module remains restricted until this attendance requirement and the other Module 2 requirements are complete.

Keep the private discussion summary in your personal portfolio. It is not an additional Moodle submission. The cohort has a minimum of two learners.
