Unit 7.4 — Personal Rule of Life
Write your Personal Rule of Life in the first person, in 1,000–1,500 words. Use all eight headings from Unit 7.4: prayer; study; service; rest; relationships; accountability; work; community and mission.
Describe commitments that fit your real responsibilities. Give a time or frequency, realistic duration and alternative for disrupted days where these are relevant. Explain how the commitments support one another and how you will review the Rule. Do not include confidential details about other people.
Day 3 supplies the writing guidance. Use the required Scripture and course teaching to support your choices without turning the Rule into a general essay on spirituality.
How your work will be assessed
| Criterion | Weight | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Sustainable commitments | 40% | Concrete and realistic practices across all eight headings, including workable alternatives. |
| Integration and theological understanding | 25% | Connects prayer, service, rest and relationships using the unit’s teaching. |
| Accountability and review | 20% | Names a suitable review pattern, truthful support and ways to adjust responsibly. |
| Clarity and personal application | 15% | A coherent first-person Rule within the word range, fitted to your own life. |
Strong work is accurate, well explained and applied to the task; sound work meets the criterion with minor gaps; developing work needs clearer explanation or application; insufficient work has substantial omissions or misunderstanding. Your tutor will identify any revision needed. Only the supplied teaching and required Scripture are assessed.
Upload your Assignments
Submit one PDF or DOCX here, with a title and word count. The count excludes the title, word-count line and brief references. Keep a copy for your portfolio. Submit the Office demonstration and reflection separately in their own activities.
Submission completes this upload requirement. It does not replace the quiz pass, other submissions or cohort participation.
