Unit 8.3 — STEP Bible-based small-group study plan
Prepare a complete 45-minute small-group study on James 3:1–12. Include a purpose, passage context, opening, reading, discussion, Scripture Study activity and closing, with timings totalling 45 minutes. Use the Institute Scripture Study tool to identify two key terms and two cross-references. Record each term’s verse, Strong identifier, contextual meaning and limits; explain what each cross-reference contributes. Include six questions: two observation, two interpretation and two application, with anticipated answers or facilitator notes grounded in the passage. Add a response to disagreement, a way to prevent domination, and an invitation to quieter participants that permits them to decline. There is no fixed word count: submit a usable plan rather than an essay about facilitation.

Strong work is accurate, well explained and applied to the task; sound work meets the criterion with minor gaps; developing work needs clearer explanation or application; insufficient work has substantial omissions or misunderstanding.
