Unit 8.1 — Gospel proclamation
Complete a 2–4-minute video or assessed live demonstration using Mark 10:42–45 in the supplied CPDV. Include a brief identification of the passage, a measured reading and a short explanation of one preparation choice. Do not stretch the reading unnaturally to fill the time. Your preparation should make the words audible, intelligible and reverent. Technical polish, expensive equipment and theatrical delivery earn no additional marks. Record yourself in a quiet setting; no congregation is required. Do not include others without express consent. For the live route, arrange assessment with your tutor through the established course contact route.
Review the complete unit and its Day 5 resources before submitting. Keep a copy of your evidence for your final portfolio.

| Evidence of preparation | 15% | A specific preparation choice is explained and demonstrated. |
Strong work is accurate, well explained and applied to the task; sound work meets the criterion with minor gaps; developing work needs clearer explanation or application; insufficient work has substantial omissions or misunderstanding. Your tutor will give feedback and identify any revision needed. Only the supplied teaching and required Scripture are assessed.
