Unit 8.2 — Homily or teaching reflection
Write a 750-word homily or teaching reflection on Mark 10:42–45 for spoken delivery. State one main message, explain the passage in its setting and offer one concrete pastoral application. Avoid shaming listeners, predicting their motives or using the passage to pursue a private grievance. A title, word-count line and brief references are excluded from the count. Scripture quoted within the homily counts towards the 750 words.
Review the complete unit and its Day 5 resources before submitting. Keep a copy of your evidence for your final portfolio.

Strong work is accurate, well explained and applied to the task; sound work meets the criterion with minor gaps; developing work needs clearer explanation or application; insufficient work has substantial omissions or misunderstanding. Your tutor will give feedback and identify any revision needed. Only the supplied teaching and required Scripture are assessed.
