Unit 8.4 — Digital-conduct and missional-witness reflection
Write 400–600 words applying the unit’s teaching to a fictional or thoroughly non-identifying digital-ministry situation. Explain what proclamation and presence require; identify confidentiality and dignity risks; and include a short response or post shaped by tone, discretion, reliability and boundaries. Use the required CPDV Scripture accurately and explain its relevance. Do not upload screenshots, names or identifying pastoral details. The short proposed response is included in the word count; title, word-count line and brief references are excluded.
Review the complete unit and its Day 5 resources before submitting. Keep a copy of your evidence for your final portfolio.
How your work will be assessed
| Criterion | Weight | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Mission as proclamation and presence | 30% | Accurate explanation applied to the chosen situation. |
| Discretion, dignity and confidentiality | 30% | Identifies risks and offers proportionate safeguards. |
| Pastoral clarity and public tone | 25% | A clear proposed response shaped by the four disciplines. |
| Relevant CPDV Scripture | 15% | Accurate reference and thoughtful connection to the decision. |
Strong work is accurate, well explained and applied to the task; sound work meets the criterion with minor gaps; developing work needs clearer explanation or application; insufficient work has substantial omissions or misunderstanding. Your tutor will give feedback and identify any revision needed. Only the supplied teaching and required Scripture are assessed.
